Since 2020, VVOB has been supporting the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and District Local Governments in implementing Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) in five districts of Uganda, with the aim of improving learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy. This has been made possible through the support of UNICEF, the LEGO Foundation, and Hempel Foundation. The results of the pilot programmes have been promising, prompting the need to scale the intervention to reach learners in more districts.
MoES and VVOB are hosting the Pilot to Scale event for education stakeholders to look back and draw important lessons from the pilot phase, and to look forward towards paving the way for scaling TaRL in Uganda.
